The Journey Begins

I can’t tell you how many times I’ve sat at this computer trying to figure out the perfect words to start this blog. I have so much I want to say; so many stories to tell and ideas to share, but it can sometimes be hard to stand out in a world where it is now so easy to share your life with others online. Sometimes it seems like everything has already been said and done. What is the point, then, in starting a blog? What new content could I possibly be adding to the world? I’m starting to figure that out, and I’m excited to share it with you.

Ever since I was a little girl, I’ve always felt like there was something that separated me from the rest of the people around me. It was more than the Tourette Syndrome and multiple other mental illnesses I was diagnosed with at a young age. Those definitely made me feel different and created some very unique challenges in my life, but that’s for another time. It’s always been some invisible force that’s hard to describe, but it’s carried me through life for almost 24 years and got me through some very difficult times. Maybe it’s my introverted nature. Maybe it’s my tendency to observe rather than participate, or something within me that’s always made older people describe me as an “old soul”, but I’ve always felt different. I used to view it as a curse but the older I get, the more I realize that it is one of the biggest blessings in my life. It allows me to be compassionate and patient, kind and understanding. It allows me to be strong and determined, and always seeking growth. It has created within me a desire to use my life and experiences to help others better their own.

I don’t intend for this blog to be pumping out the same type of “Top 10 Ways to…” content that you see all the time. I don’t want to seem like all I’m trying to do is get clicks and make money. I would be lying if I said I don’t intend to try and monetize this blog at some point, but I always want my content to come from the heart, and to tell stories. I want to use my life and experiences to help others better their own. This blog will focus on my experiences and opinions, a bit of poetry, and subjects that interest me like minimalism, frugality, simple living, and self improvement. I hope that this is something that I continue to enjoy doing for a long time to come, and I hope that people take away something positive each time they come visit this site.

  1. Molly, I used to work with your mom, and I remember you from when you were a little girl. This was very interesting to read, and I think it’s wonderful that you’re writing about your experiences. I look forward to hearing more of your thoughts.
